I bought this with a little hesitation because I like a restricted DL draw and thought this may be a little tight. It’s brilliant!! I’m pushing it hard with a 0-6ohm fused Clapton and 75% VG juice and it wicks beautifully (to my amazement). I can take 8 very quick deep pulls (no gaps between them) and there’s not a trace of a dry hit. I only stopped because 8 pulls very quickly with 12mg nicotine is my limit. There is no leaking what so ever and it looks fantastic. Perfectly made and a joy to use so I highly recommend the outstanding Tripod.

Hi Graham, many thanks for the positive input! Liquid feed / leaking with the Tripod will be no issue if you wick it properly. Ideally legs should be long enough to almost reach bottom of juice wells, as this will ensure that the wick will stand properly and not collapse when soaked with juice. Also the cotton should be dense and thick enough through your coil, ensuring it will stay behind juice slots and hold liquid intake at proper levels. With a combo of higher VG liquids / low res coils / higher wattage it’s wise to thin out the legs a tad bit , *but* without reducing length or core density!
It seems you have already nailed all the above :)) Congrats and please know we are right here if you need anything from us in the future!

Very well made RTA, probably, one of the best. Every well know liquids tastes a bit unique in the Tripod. I would not have any major cons for this product, except one, already described here by “dnayman “. The Tripod leaks when sitting calm on the mod after a few hours, no matter of juice thickness or wicking. Im 100% sure no O-rings are missing from the tank, so it has to be the pole screw is not tighten enough. But apart of this, an excellent RTA 🙂
Tasos –
Hello and many thanks for your kind words!
With most cases of leaking, usual cause is one of the following:
– bad wicking, which leads to deck area being flooded with e-liquid. Most usually this comes along with liquid coming out of afc ring slots as well. It is easy to check if you have liquid drained down the collector well inside the base (afc ring level), if you lean the device to the side and see if it leaks though afc ring slots. In this case you certainly have to check your wicking.
– non air-sealed tank section. If you have a missing oring, damaged oring, unscrewed the seal part by mistake while it should normally be well screwed in its place on top of the chimney, or missing / removed the gasket which lies right under the top cap (top cap ceiling from below, inside a groove), then the tank section is not sealed off, liquid is object to gravity and not under sub-pressure and this will lead to liquid leaking (draining down actually) through the afc ring / tank joint and the afc ring slots.
What you can do:
– Pls send to our support team (email support@atmizoo.com) some photos of your deck, built and ready to go, with coil and cotton on. If possible send photos before having primed the cotton and before having it tucked down inside the juice wells of the deck. After cotton is trimmed and ready pls send photos with cotton legs out of the juice wells and placed horizontally in way that we can tell about their length.
If legs are shorter than outer deck perimeter before tucked down, their length won’t be sufficient to hold well behind juice slots after cotton is drenched and saturated with liquid. Eventually wick will collapse in this case and allow liquid enter the deck unhindered.
– Check for bad sealing of tank section.
Damaged orings are one case, especially the 16*1 oring around the deck. You can replace it with the spare one and see if the issue is resolved.
Another one – from experience based on previous cases, many users have lost the sealing gasket that goes right under the top cap.
Another common mistake is with top cap / drip tip / sealing gasket assembly order which affects tank sealing. First assemble the two parts of the drip tip and then place the sealing gasket beneath the top cap, inside its groove. If the gasket is sandwiched between the drip tip parts by mistake (wrong assembly) this creates a lack of seal, air gets in the tank and lets the juice leak from every possible opening (air slots, base etc.).
Pls check the above and let us know 🙂

Having used this RTA since release all I can say is IT’S A BEAST!
MTL? Quality.
RDL? Quality.
Ease of use while going about my day? Top Quality!
Just a great all around RTA for whichever style of vape you prefer (other than super open DL) from a wonderful group of people.

I got this as a present form a girlfriend September 2019 and it was stolen from me before i had my first drag with it :/ We went for a trip in Spain and i put it in my luggage with the intention to build it once we are in the hotel. To my surprise.. my suitcase and also other ppl luggage were missing after landing and never recovered, shocking right..! I want to buy it now so badly after all possible reviews and have seen on youtube and are written here! And its already “MID – JUNE ” so it will soon be mine again i hope.
Tasos –
So sorry to read this! It is indeed a great disappointment not to have enjoyed a new gift, not even for some minutes before it’s stolen.
And of course thank you for your sincere interest, wanting to purchase a Tripod again once available.
Our current scheduling says that the next batch will be released late June 2020.
The difficult situation with COVID-19 held us back, our procedures have been progressing with much delay and require more efforts than usual.
Pls stay tuned with our social media and official site news section for more precise scheduling updates and details about the next drop of the Tripod.

Having the Tripod with extention and a Steamtuners XL tank for 2 months now. Vaping on it every day and it is a great RTA. Nicely bluid, easy to wick and fill, and the tast is superb! You can’t go wrong with this product!
Tasos –
Hello 🙂 Thanks a lot for the positive review! Having feedback after 2 months of use is the most substantial input possible!

This atty is made with so much care and attention to detail. Its a pleasure to use.
I am using the Tripod in a range from very loose MTL with 1.8 mm airpin, up to very restricted DL. Therefore I am very happy about the tighter airtubes!
Imho the outer airflow ring is redundant. You could leave away another moving part, this would increase the stability and options for a even classier, elegant design.
Tasos –
Hey Frank, many thanks for posting and for your really kind words!
Here is the story as to why the AFC is actually essential:
If one only cares for the flow of air, indeed the installation of mtl pin or a fixed air flow tube is enough to ensure a specific (reduced) air flow under coil. However, you can indeed feel a tighter draw if at the same time you also adjust the air flow ring to a smaller opening. The higher drag when pulling in air in this case (although the air flow actually remains the same) is explained by the extra work needed to make the air come through narrower openings 2 times (one time from outer environment through the smaller afc hole and second time from inner afc base to narrower mtl pin/ fixed air flow tube). This way, although the air flow is the same (the one of 1.2mm mtl pin), when you additionally adjust the afc from full open to a narrow hole dial in, the drag (resistance in pulling air in) is higher and this gives the impression of a tighter draw.

First of all, I love the tripod. I like the airflow, the gentle vapor that is produced by the atomizer and the design. The taste is really excellent and the variability of the Tripod is unbeatable.
However, at the beginning I had some problems with the Tripod. If the Tripod stood unused on the mod for 3-4 hours, it leaked. No matter what I did, it leaked even when the liquid control was closed. I couldn’t really explain it to myself because it couldn’t be due to the wicking. After some time of testing, the bug was found. The wicking deck is only plugged onto the base and is held by the positive pole screw alone. This screw was tightened, but there was still some play in the wicking deck. The liquid seeped through this small gap. Since the winding deck is neither sealed by an O-ring nor screwed, the pole screw really has to be tightened very tightly so that the atomizer is absolutely tight. Tightening the pole screw a quarter turn eliminated the problem.
Perhaps it would be a good idea to screw the wicking deck onto the base using a thread, or to provide a cutout for an O-ring.
Thanks guys for this great atomizer.

Hello and thank you for your time to write this down 🙂
When the leaking that appears with the Tripod does not have to do with wicking it wrong or piling up condensations, then the reason for this usually is a non air-sealed tank section. In this case you have to inspect the tank section for the point and exact cause of bad sealing.
The reason you are mentioning is very rare, and might possibly come due to slight negligence during our assembly or most probably when friction appears between the 510 positive pole of the mod and the pole of the Tripod. In this scenario, there is a chance that friction unscrews the screw head of Tripod’s pole by a tad bit each time you unscrew the Tripod off the mod.
In any case, thank you for sorting this out all by yourself and for posting this so that others are informed 🙂

So, this will be an easy review:
I got my first Tripod SS, and I lost it in a black cab in London during a trip. I got a replacement the moment I landed back home. It is that good. This time I got the Matte version. I got the steam tuners cap in matching finish. Perfect match.
I will not list the positives as they have been covered by all the past reviews, and just the above story should explain how much I love it. And I do own more than 20 atomisers..
So, a few negatives:
* The polished version is slippery to the hand when trying to get the markers aligned. /see comment below
* This is a bit worse with the top fill cap: unless you first tighten the top assembly first, you might end up twisting the whole thing off while trying to refill. Note to other users: screw down tightly the top without the fill cap.
* My eyes are going bad, so I don’t like putting on reading glasses to line up the markers for opening the deck or refilling the tank. The second issue is solved with the steam tuners top-fill screw-type cap. It also makes the RTA shorter by quite a bit, so double win. For the both issues, a stop or click would be a great change in any upcoming V2 tripod. Or make the markers with a black enamel dot/triangle.
* Deep liquid wells and airflow make this RTA a bit tall. Again, this is nitpicking, but I would love to see these creative guys coming up with a shorter V2 tripod. I see what Atmizoo have done with the DotShell and the no-well approach. Love it.
And in closing, a few more comments:
* I would love to have a version with knurling finish. The GLAZ mini, a RTA less than half the price of this masterpiece, is a great example of what I am looking for.
* I love the fact I can rewick-build without emptying the tank first. Call me OCD, but I do that every morning.
Thank you for designing and producing such a stellar atomiser. Well done.
Σας ευχαριστώ,
Γιώργος

Γεια σου Γιώργο, ευχαριστούμε για μια ακόμα κριτική καθώς και για τα εξαιρετικά και αναλυτικά σου σχόλια!
Your praises are much appreciated and your suggestions are dully noted! Pls allow us some comments.
Please note that the Tripod top cap assembly ensures liquid sealing via push down pressure (silicon gasket being pushed onto seal part below when top cap is closed). Also pls note that e-liquid remains tend to dry out on parts and make their function sticky / stiff. This applies with top cap assembly of Tripod as well. For both of the above reasons, the top cap is expected to be stiff at the very start of rotating it.
*However*, after one – one and 1/2 turn, the top cap gasket will be automatically self-lubed and work smoothly as it should.
Here is how you do it: grip one hand on tank section glass and the other hand firmly on top cap. Then rotate top cap clockwise, either to remove it and refill or to put it back in place / locked position).
– After one – one and 1/2 turn, the top cap gasket will be automatically self-lubed and work smoothly as it should.
– Slightly pushing *down* the top cap while rotating helps to an even smoother rotation
– It always has to be clockwise, either to remove top cap or to put it back on. If you tend to rotate anti, friction with parts below will tend to apply torque and eventually unscrew seal off the tank section. In this accidental case, you first have to properly screw seal and achieve firm attachment on chimney to ensure that the tank section will work as a one part assembly. Then you rotate top cap as instructed (clockwise).
– Users by default have accepted that screw-on top caps will be a tad bit stiff at the beginning of unscrewing, then after one turn they would turn smoother up to fully unscrew. This is considered to be natural as screw on top caps are widely used and accepted in the vaping industry. In the same way, top cap of the Tripod is expected to be stiff at the very start of rotating function, then go smoother with further rotation. Just make sure you do it clockwise, unlike usual anti of screw – on top caps. Difference is that a screw-on top cap needs more than 3-4 full turns to be removed, whilst Tripod “rotate / align” top cap will be off and on much quicker.
– You don’t actually need to see that the marks are aligned in order to remove top cap or put it back in place. The very next second after having twisted it, try to pull gently while rotating at the same time. You will just notice the opening point of alignment as the pressure will feel released, then you just lift up. Same with putting back into place, if you place top cap on top of the Seal and push down gently while rotating, you can tell the point of alignment by just feeling where the top cap gives in and goes down. This is just a matter of getting used to it, in the same way one is used to fiddle with threaded function until the threads of top cap and tank are aligned properly to screw in.
Thank you so much for your extra suggestions, rest sure we have noted down everything and will take those into account for our projects design 🙂

Five stars are not enough to express my excitment with Tripod. Ordered it on Friday March 27 and got it today March 31st… very fast shipping considering the weekend in between. Although i have only tried it in MTL mode, this RTA is phenomenalin terms of machining, simplicity as well as flavor and throat hit. Was sceptical for the past 7-8 months whether i should risk and buy it and i definitely dont regret that i finally decided to get it. Flavor is top notch….even with a liquid which is not yet fully ripened. That’s how eager i was to try it and i did nt get dissappointed. I dont usually review products but the Tripod is trully something else. Who ever is hesitant just get this RTA…i can guarantee you wont get disappointed.
