SteamShell Limited Edition Series

Small batches of DotShells and SteamShells are spiced up with a unique creative eye, hosting artwork patterns / designs on their outer surface, which are inspired by local cultures from around the globe. Each pattern / design is specially created and adjusted, printed on the front of the device tin box , plus engraved on the front side of the device. Each pattern / design is unique, destined for only one small batch of DotShells (around 200pcs) and SteamShells (around 100pcs) of a certain finish, not to be reproduced ever again.
The Limited Edition Series are serialized as members of the SteamShell family, so their engraved serials follow the natural continuation of the SteamShell serial numbering. On top of that though, they stress out their uniqueness with one extra code, shown on the QR Code sticker, right after the typical serial. This is called Limited Edition Series Code, it consists of two letters and a three-digit number, and it is also an additional layer of security against counterfeiting.
Please note that the three-digit number of the Limited Edition Series Code is not a serial number. The three-digit number on each sticker is a random number, which makes a unique pair with the typical serial number of every device, through a special algorithm of Atmizone.

SteamShell aesthetic features / finishes

The SteamShell is available in the following finishes:

Stainless Steel (SS)

SS is a satin finish, close to the natural appearance of CNC processed Stainless Steel.

Midnight Black (MB)

SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, colored in a chromatic black mixture from dark blue – black, purple and other dark color shades. Plated are the two Chimneys Tubes (restricted and open), plus the Chimney Body, while the rest of its parts  have natural CNC looks.

Iron Grey (IG)

SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, colored grey with a tint of green, like freshly cut iron. Plated are the two Chimneys Tubes (restricted and open), plus the Chimney Body, while the rest of its parts  have natural CNC looks.

Gold (G)

SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, colored gold using 18k true gold. Gold yellow with tints of red. Plated are the two Chimneys Tubes (restricted and open), plus the Chimney Body, while the rest of its parts  have natural CNC looks.

Aegean Blue (AB)

SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, colored with the color palette of the Aegean Sea, a small tribute to Greece, our country. Dominant are the shades of Blue from the sky and sea, but if you look closely you will also see tints of yellow from the sun, and even some random tones of orange / purple from the sunset. Plated are the two Chimneys Tubes (restricted and open), plus the Chimney Body, while the rest of its parts  have natural CNC looks.

Rainbow Purple (RP)

SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, colored the purple tones of the rainbow. Various purple shades, with rich tones of orange (from light yellowish to dark brownish). Plated are the two Chimneys Tubes (restricted and open), plus the Chimney Body, while the rest of its parts  have natural CNC looks.

Marigold Orange (MO)

SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, with tones inspired by Marigold flower colors. A combination of orange and gold-yellow tones, even including some purple and deep red shades. Plated are the two Chimneys Tubes (restricted and open), plus the Chimney Body, while the rest of its parts  have natural CNC looks.

Please note:

Due to the nature of electroplating, it is expected to find small marks and iridescence effect on certain points of the device’s inner surfaces. Steps of the procedure ensure that outer surfaces of the device have uniform looks and finish, but inner surfaces can’t be processed equally effectively.

Electroplating is not a coating rather than a very thin extra metal layer. As such, hairlike scratches and small bumps, typical on metal surfaces, should be expected on all plated surfaces, visible from close distance or with the use of magnifying lens.

As an electroplating attribute, tonic differences are expected in the same color between batches. Differences are not visible with bare eyes in the case of Midnight Black and Gold, and appear to be more intense with the Iron Grey. The Aegean Blue, Rainbow Purple and Marigold Orange are dynamic new finishes, each one being a unique camvas of different color shades and colors mixture, changing with the effect of light and the view angle, never exactly the same between different devices of same finish. For this, we keep stock of parts from different batches separately, in order to make sure that replacements will come from the same batch with the device when needed.

SteamShell functional features

The deck

At first sight, the rectangular deck of the SteamShell resembles much to that of the VapeShell. Diagonal placement of posts for single coil setups, hosting the same high precision small pan head phillips post screws, plus rails to capture wire either between rail and screw head / body or around the screw body (depending on wire diameter). Wicking holes are still at the bottom of the assembly. and air comes from below, right under the coil.
But this is all with similarities here.
Convenient cut – outs on outer deck rim have been added, for easier rebuilding. The liquid intake holes are drilled out in a special , cone-like shape, to ensure sufficient liquid intake while wicking.

Real time access to deck is a must for any contemporary rebuildable design. We have materialised it in the most efficient and user friendly way, by connecting the deck and the chimney body (chamber) parts through a precisely CNC machined, sleeve type collaboration. When used with the SnailTank and similar Boro sized tanks, you can access your deck any time you want and check your build, or even change build without dumping the liquid of your tank.

The air flow

The air flow ring and the air flow tubes that used to be pinned from the top side of the deck are now past. We have skipped them in need for precise, real time configuration of the air flow, as already introduced with our previous projects (VapeSnail, Tripod2 and Aer). On the SteamShell, the airflow is regulated right under the coil, through fixed air flow tubes – always with the ability to swap air flow tubes any time / real time, keeping the build and the liquid inside the tank absolutely intact. You may dial in your air flow via five pin options, with air hole diameter 0.8mm/1.0mm/1.2mm/ 1.5mm/1.8mm respectively, pinned inside a D=4.0mm nest, plus through five air flow tubes with air hole diameter 2.0mm/2.5mm/3.0mm/3.5mm/4.0mm (last one also serving as pins nest), or use the 5.0mm air flow pole pinned inside the deck Nut from below, for the most airy Direct Lung draw you can find among RBAs.

MTL, rDL or DL

The whole range of draw types is taken care of, with tubes and pins as described above. But we haven’t stopped at that. Fine tuning an MTL, rDL or DL profile, also requires proper proper outlet – vaporization chamber and chimney. We have taken this into account, so the SteamShell will come with two Chimney options out of the box, carefully designed to serve MTL and tight rDL vaping (Restricted Chimney) on the one hand, and loose rDL with DL (Open Chimney) on the other. This simplifies things, with a design solution which is friendlier to the end user compared to the use of chimney reducers.

A sturdy 510 aux Base for rebuilding is included too. We have preferred this functional option, instead of skipping the aux base in favor of a 510 threading around the bottom part of the RBA , as the latter would restrict the maximum air flow option down to only 3/3.5mm roughly.
