Based on the VapeShell, yet taking quite some steps forward, the DotShell introduces all features of RTAs to the world of AIO devices. The DotShell utilizes the top part of dotAIO’s stock reservoir, incorporates an adaptation of dotAIO RBA’s afc system, but also offers a surprisingly large deck with real time access potential and further customisable air flow under coil. Either lightly brushed SS316 or electroplated- colored with SS316 core, it is designed to bring the already successful dotAIO to another level.
The DotShell is available in classic SS plus six electroplated finishes. The classic Midnight Black, Iron Grey and Gold, plus the new dynamic palettes Aegean Blue, Rainbow Purple and Marigold Orange. Please check the Features tab for more.

Stainless Steel (SS)
Lightly brushed SS316 metal parts, Stainless Steel appearance of all outer surfaces
Midnight Black (MB)
SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, colored in a chromatic black mixture from dark blue – black, purple and other dark color shades. Iron Grey (IG)

Gold (G)
SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, colored gold using 18k true gold. Gold yellow with tints of red. Aegean Blue (AB)
SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, colored with the color palette of the Aegean Sea, a small tribute to Greece, our country. Dominant are the shades of Blue from the sky and sea, but if you look closely you will also see tints of yellow from the sun, and even some random tones of orange / purple from the sunset. Rainbow Purple (RP)
SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, colored the purple tones of the rainbow. Various purple shades, with rich tones of orange (from light yellowish to dark brownish). Marigold Orange (MO)
SS316 or SS316 core electroplated metal parts, with tones inspired by Marigold flower colors. A combination of orange and gold-yellow tones, even including some purple and deep red shades. Please note:
Due to the nature of electroplating, it is expected to find small marks and iridescence effect on certain points of the device’s inner surfaces. Steps of the procedure ensure that outer surfaces of the device have uniform looks and finish, but inner surfaces can’t be processed equally effectively.
Electroplating is not a coating rather than a very thin extra metal layer. As such, hairlike scratches and small bumps, typical on metal surfaces, should be expected on all plated surfaces, visible from close distance or with the use of magnifying lens.
As an electroplating attribute, tonic differences are expected in the same color between batches. Differences are not visible with bare eyes in the case of Midnight Black and Gold, and appear to be more intense with the Iron Grey. The Aegean Blue, Rainbow Purple and Marigold Orange are dynamic new finishes, each one being a unique camvas of different color shades and colors mixture, changing with the effect of light and the view angle, never exactly the same between different devices of same finish. For this, we keep stock of parts from different batches separately, in order to make sure that replacements will come from the same batch with the device when needed.

DotShell functional features
The DotShell takes the basic concept of the VapeShell and elaborates, incorporating also some elements out of dotAIO stock components.
The design utilizes the top part of dotAIO’s stock reservoir, incorporates an adaptation of dotAIO RBA’s AFC system, but also offers a surprisingly large deck with real time access potential and further customisable air flow under coil. The deck is able to host many different approaches of one-coil rebuilding, from simple round wire to large exotic coils, still retaining high tank capacity (a bit higher from Dotmod’s RBA version). The air flow is adjusted by an AFC base section with high accuracy which dials in the air hole under coil from zero to either D=3.8mm (stock Pos Tube) or D=2.0mm (spare Pos. Tube). There is an MTL set of pins further available as an accessory, which, as with the VapeShell, further customises the air flow for proper true MTL setups. This makes the DotShell versatile and perfect for a wide range of vaping profiles, from MTL to DTL. Add to the above Dotmod’s auxilary 510 base for testing, rebuilding, dry-burning or other purposes and you have the whole package.
You can’t get wrong with the DotShell. Its features and potential bring the already succesful dotAIO to a totally different level.

Ok first off I am in Dallas Texas. I ordered this on a Monday and it arrived at 11 am on Wednesday. These guys beat even Amazon’s shipping. Absolutely phenomenal. As for the device, I have owned both the Ulton knock off and now two dot shells (one second hand and the other directly from atmizoo) and I can say DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON KNOCK OFFS. Not only is the dot shell a performance master but it far surpasses the Ulton knock off in just about every single category imaginable. I much prefer MTL and the MTL pins for this kit are a must have. I like a super tight MTL and the 1 mm insert was even too tight for me! Never had that problem before! As a DL setup the dot shell opens up even wider than the dotaio stock coils AND the dotaio rebuildable kit! Cannot recommend this thing enough. This kit along with the dotaio completely ended my search for the perfect vape device. I’m still working on getting my wicking just right, but atmizoo’s instagram account is always posting pictures of different builds, so I’m working on learning from those! I generally use a 2.5 mm diameter coil for MTL (MTL pins shrink the build area size a bit) and 3 mm diameter for DL builds.

In my experience so far. Flawless performance, no dry hits, no wicking issues, no leaks, high quality construction. I bought the additional pins, being a mtl vaper. The only ‘downside’ to the Dotshell imo is that it’s only compatible with the DotAIO. Whilst good looking and user friendly enough as a device, it limits the Dotshell’s true performance capability, by its lack of TC and lack of controllable power. Vapers like me are crying out for a compatible AIO with a DNA board.

I don’t know if they are the same, but the MTL airflow restrictors of the Tripod fit nicely. You just need to lift the coil a bit higher than the guides.

Indeed it is so, the Tripod MTL Pins will also fit inside the DotShell’s pos tube hole. Nevertheless we are suggesting MTL pins same with VapeShell, for the exact reason you are mentioning yourself 🙂 The head of Tripod Pins is a bit higher, so it will eventually reduce the already limited space for coiling inside the DotShell deck. If you are doing MTL with classic round wire coils or generally coils with core D less than 2.5mm, of course this is not expected to be an issue..

Hello everyone, first of all I want to say that I am translating with google. I bought a Dot AIO with RBA from DotMod, but was disappointed by both the MTL coil and the RBA. Easy to build, rebuilding without a big mess, excellent flavor. In my honest opinion it is 10x better than the vapeshell.
