I keep getting a “check atomizer” message when trying to dry fire the coil. Is the positive post supposed to easily wiggle and lift up? I have all the insulators attached. The positive post lifting up and being loose like that does seem odd though. I’m fairly new to rba’s..is that common?

Hi and thank you for reaching out!
From your description of the issue, I understand that you are missing one small but very important part of your DotShell, the positive tube insulator. This justifies the wobble you mention about the positive post.
If you have lost or misplaced it and can’t find it, you can always get it again. All DotShell parts are available for support and maintenance purposes, you may find them here

Namely the part you are looking for is this one

You may also check with our local reseller, there is a strong chance that they still have this in stock as they stock several replacement parts of our projects from time to time.
Our local resellers can be found here .

There is another chance, that your insulators are all in place but you haven’t screwed the positive tube fully in.
This should be fully screwed to keep everything together.
To understand the function of DotShell parts in a better way, please have a look at the manual.
Of course we are right here – if you want some assistance via email, please send to support@atmizoo.com 🙂

    Hi,

I recently purchased a dotshell. I cannot get the dry burn base to work, yet I have a build and it is working in my dotaio.

I’m not sure why but it does not read using the 510 base, it worked once or twice when I first got it but I just went to Renwick and it stopped working.

I dont want to purchase a new 510 base until I know its defective. I can’t see what can go wrong as it is a sealed unit

Hi and thank you for posting!
Please notice this important detail: The pole of your aux 510 rebuilding base is assembled press-in and somewhat floating. Sometimes it tends to balance at a lower position, not being able to make contact with the DotShell pole.
      The workaround is easy:
Pls take the 510 aux base and push it down on a flat surface, with the pole of the base facing the flat surface. This will press the pole of the 510 aux base to a higher position and fix the issue.

Please help I purchased a dot shell and I can’t get it to work. After looking at this post, I believe I’m missing the peek pos tube insulator. How do I go about acquiring it? I have a new dotaio and new dot shell that I can’t use.

Not working whatsoever, no atomizer detected using .42 Kathal A1 24 Ga. 2.5 mm. Nothing touching, the shell won’t register on my ohm reader or on any of my box mods. Dot RBA works with same exact build. Not sure where to go from here, just got it yesterday and haven’t been able to use it once.

Thanks for reaching out about this issue.
There is no need to worry, nor does it mean that your DotShell is defective whatsoever.
Pls check for one of the following cases:

      – a leg of your coil is not trimmed properly and touches the chimney inner walls, causing a short. If you trim this leg a bit more or push against the protruding edge with a screwdriver, it will be fixed.

      – your coil is not positioned properly as to the vertical axle, this way touching the inner walls of the chimney and causing a short. If you lower it a bit the issue will be resolved.

      – have you made sure the positive tube has the peek pos tube insulator round ring around it? If not, it will short circuit. Please check this for the parts names https://www.atmizoo.com/wp-content/uploads/DotShell-Manual-EN-
