This is the Tripod2
The Tripod2 comes as the successor of the Tripod. It is Atmizone’s fresh suggestion of 22mm outer diameter RTA. The usual CNC high precision parts, bespoke silicon gaskets and high quality materials are always tHere. Stellar performance, easier top refill, real time access to deck, meet with top notch functional customisation and real time configuration of air flow. Fresh ideas and users feedback have come to further improve the classic Tripod design, to a smaller, more efficient and overall bEtter Tripod2.

Intro

iThe Tripod2 features some revolutionary functions, which all include at least one section of the device rotating / moving relatively to the other(s), with a certain mechanism.
Real time access to deck, real time air flow configuration and super easy top refill can all be achieved on the fly, with the atomiser built and having liquid inside its tank. We have evolved the rotary function of the classic Tripod, by incorporating stop points so that you don’t not need to look for aligning signs. Also, we have included a quick release mechanism that allows the base of the RTA to stay screwed on top of the mod / rebuilding station, while the rest of the RTA is released instantly and allows you to swap the air flow pins / tubes in a sec.
iAll functions require the Tripod2 Base section to be fixed and steady. Thus, it is recommended that you screw the device on top of a mod or rebuilding station in order to perform the following functions. It is possible to perform the above functions having the Tripod2 in your hands rather than having placed it on the mod / rebuilding station. However, it can prove a bit more fiddly. iEven with the device on your mod / rebuilding station, you will need to use two hands for some of the functions: Finger(s) of one hand gripping on a certain section to prevent it from rotating, while finger(s) of the other hand performing the function.
Vaping on the Tripod2

Start from setting the device in Vaping Mode.
iScrew the Tripod2 on your mod / rebuilding station. Grip on Top Cap, place the Tripod2’s 510 base male threading on the mod’s 510 connector and rotate clockwise. Screw in all the way until the Tripod2 Base sits flush on the mod. Then keep rotating the Top Cap clockwise and make sure that it can’t rotate any further [1]. This is the Vaping Mode Point. At this point, the liquid slots on Tripod2 Chimney should be fully aligned with the air slots on Tripod2 Base. i If you want to perform this step with the Tripod2 in your hands, you will need to have one hand gripping on Base section to prevent it from rotating, while using the other hand to follow step [1] as above.
Unlock the tank section and pull up to reveal the deck.
i To do this, grip on Tank section and rotate counter-clockwise on Base section, slowly, until you feel some resistance [2a]. This is the Deck Access Point. At this point, the Tripod2 logo should be fully aligned with the air slots on Tripod2 Base. Do not keep rotating and do not exercise extra force to overcome this stop point. Hold Tank section firmly and pull up [2b]. i When removing a full tank to access deck, do the above after turning upside down.
i Reverse step [2b] to re-assemble. No need to look for aligning signs. Just place the Tank section gently on Base and rotate clockwise, until you feel it falls in place. Push down until the two pieces leave no gap between them and make sure that the Tank section can rotate and perform all functions.
Time to decide if you are vaping with the Open Chimney (pre-installed) or the Restricted Chimney.
i The pre-installed Open Chimney has a larger vaporisation chamber, so it ensures more space right over the deck, needed for larger coils and higher temp setups. It also has a 5mm inner diameter at the top. This design makes it suitable for loose RDL and DL vaping profiles. The Open Chimney is best combined with the Tripod2 Drip Tip 510 Wide. If you choose to use the Open Chimney, skip this step. The spare Restricted Chimney is designed with a more restricted chamber and a 3.5mm inner diameter along its top section, plus a bit smaller liquid intake slots. It is suitable for tighter RDL and MTL vaping. The Restricted Chimney is best combined with the Tripod2 Drip Tip 510 Narrow. If you choose to use the Restricted Chimney, you need to install it as follows.
i The Tank section assembly, except for the Top Cap (Seal, Nut, Tank with gaskets and Chimney) is kept in place by the Nut and Chimney sandwiching all the other parts. In order to disassemble the Tank section:a. Consult step [6] to remove the Top Cap.
b. Spot the Nut 5 right below, in the center of the Seal. Unscrew the Nut anti-clockwise, with a fitting Phillips screwdriver (ph3 Phillips screw driver also found in the spares of the device), while holding still the bottom part of the Chimney [3a].
c. The Tank section assembly is now loose and you can pull the Seal off the Open Chimney.
d. Replace the Open Chimney with the Restricted Chimney, making sure that the Tank Body, Tank Gaskets and Seal are all assembled as before. Note that the inner part of the Seal has two small protruding points. These should be hosted inside two corresponding female cutouts that are carved at the top part of the Chimney. Then screw the Nut 3.5 into place (clockwise), always holding still the bottom part of the Chimney [3a].

Coiling and wicking time!
i Fasten your coil down on the posts. The two small, half circle cut outs on the rims of the Deck are there for you to align the coil properly. They also allow some extra space if you need to lower your setup right above the air hole. i Better position the legs of the coil downside. This will allow:a. the cotton to cover the legs and b. to position the coil closer to air flow.
i On to wicking. Trim legs of cotton along the external diameter (D=22mm) of the Tripod2 or more (definitely not less), having this external diameter of the atomizer as your vertical guide for minimum trimming. i Cotton legs should be long enough to almost reach the bottom of juice wells, as this will ensure that the wick will stand properly and not collapse when soaked with juice. i Also the cotton should be dense and thick enough through your coil, ensuring it will stay behind juice slots and hold liquid intake at proper levels. No need to overdo this, however don’t be stingy on cotton – of course quantity and exact placement essentially depends on your build as well. i If you need more liquid feed, (eg. if you DL on higher wattage) it’s wise to thin out the legs quite a bit , but without reducing too much the length or the core density.
Configure your air flow anytime, even on the fly.
i The airflow of the Tripod2 is regulated right under the coil, through fixed air flow tubes and pins. You can dial in your air flow on the fly, as you are able to swap air flow tubes / pins any time, keeping the build and the liquid inside the tank absolutely intact. i To do this, grip on Tank section and rotate counter-clockwise on Base section. Keep rotating, past the point of resistance ( [2a] – Deck Access Point ). After this point, you will notice that the connection between Tank section and Base section becomes loose. Eventually, the Tank section pops up. This is the Air Flow Access Point [5a]. i Lift the Tank section and notice that the deck has left the Base and is now carried inside the Chimney. Looking at the Tank section from below, you can now see a small “crown-like” formation, the legs of the Positive Pole. The horizontal cut-out slots of these legs are able to host the Air Flow Tubes and secure them in place [5b]. i Twist the already installed Air Flow Tube 4.0mm, in order to remove and replace it, by gripping two fingers on its outer perimeter. The two legs of the Air Flow Tube protrude slightly out of the crown formation to offer grip / friction against your fingers. The Tube is released when twisted away from the Positive Pole legs and can be pulled off. i You may dial in your air flow via five pin options, with air hole diameter 0.8mm/1.0mm/1.2mm/ 1.5mm/1.8mm respectively. These are pinned inside the preinstalled Air Flow Tube 4.0mm which serves as a nest. Additionally, air flow is configured through five Air Flow Tube options, with air hole diameter 2.0mm/2.5mm/3.0mm/3.5mm/4.0mm. Use no tube and enjoy a perfect, airy 5.0mm Direct Lung draw. i The effect you get while performing step [5a], regarding the collaboration between parts (how stiff / mild it feels), largely depends on the push back action of the positive pole of your mod. If the positive pole height is self-adjustable, it depends on the back force of its spring / pogo pin. If it is adjustable through a certain mechanism (eg adjustable screw / battery tube / battery top cap) you might want to adjust it in order to get your ideal balance. iAdditionally, please take serious notice of the following points:
a. If your mod has a spring loaded positive pole contact which is permanently deformed and recessed to a lower level out of constant use with RTAs of extra-long 510 male pole.
OR
b. If your mod has a spring loaded positive pole contact with spring backforce action which is not strong enough by default.
THEN, the marginal, weak contact achieved in the above cases, will cause intense deviations of the resistance value.
c. The issue gets bigger when the total height of the positive parts assembly of the Tripod2 (that is positive pin, positive pin insulator, positive post), is found to be at the lower tolerances area. This, combined with the previous scenario, causes a weak press-contact between the Tripod2 positive pole assembly and mod positive pole spring.
In all the above scenarios, you will need to install the alternative, elongated positive pin, which can be found in the spares of the device, right under the EVA foam case.

Refilling the Tripod2 and more.
i Always shut off liquid intake slots before refilling. To do this, rotate Tank section counter-clockwise on Base, until you reach the Deck Access Point, without lifting it up afterwards [6a]. i Grip on Tank section with one hand, in order to keep it steady. Rotate Top Cap counter-clockwise using the other hand, all the way until the stop point. Then pull up gently [6b]. i Refill through the Seal slots and reverse the above steps to assemble back for use.
i To remove the Tripod2 from your mod / rebuilding station, grip on the Base level and rotate anti-clockwise in order to unscrew it. If the grip on the Base level is not easy, you may remove the tank section (Air Flow Access, step [5] ) and just keep the Base on the mod. This will offer a tighter grip on the Base. i If the Base is screwed very tight on the mod / rebuilding station and it gets too fiddly to unscrew it with bare hands, DO NOT use tools (pliers etc.) to unscrew it. Locate the EVA foam ring which lies around the Restricted Chimney, inside the initial packaging of the device. Stretch the ring enough to cross it around the Base, exactly as you would do with an atomiser bumper. The ring offers enough friction and grip to ensure that Base will unscrew with bare hands. A sudden counter-clockwise twist will do the job.
