Aer Positive Pin Elongated made of 316 Stainless Steel.
The Aer Positive Pin Elongated is a positive pin version quite similar to the stock one, only designed to have slightly bigger height (by 0.2-0.3mm). This is needed in the following cases:
- – If your mod has a spring loaded positive pole contact which is permanently deformed and recessed to a lower level out of constant use with RTAs of extra-long 510 male pole. Alternatively, a spring loaded positive pole contact with spring backforce action which is not strong enough by default. The marginal, weak contact achieved in the above cases, will present intense deviations of the resistance value.
- – The issue gets bigger when the total height of the positive parts assembly of the Aer (that is positive pin, positive pin insulator, positive post, positive post insulator), is found to be at the lower tolerances area. This, combined with the previous scenario, causes a weak press-contact between Aer positive pole assembly and mod positive pole spring.
In all the above cases, you will be noticing resistance value deviation compared to expected values, or unstable measurements. The issue is resolved with the use of the Elongated Positive Pin instead of the stock positive pin, as it essentially pushes harder against the mod’s spring and restores contact to normal levels.
The Elongated Pin is included in the spare parts bag of the device package of all Aer devices.
