DotShell2 – The next step in the iconic line

When we first introduced the DotShell back in 2019, our aim was clear: bring the same versatility and performance that defined our RBA philosophy into the DotAIO ecosystem. The result was an RBA that not only complemented the dotAIO’s design but also became a reference point for rebuildable performance inside AIO devices. Over the years, the DotShell has become a beloved, iconic piece for countless users around the world.

Creating a successor to something so defining was never an easy decision. The DotShell had already set a standard of its own. Yet, every great design eventually deserves its evolution—and here it is: the DotShell2.

Evolution, Not Revolution

The DotShell2 stays true to the philosophy that made the original DotShell iconic, while elevating it with a series of thoughtful refinements. This is not about starting over — it’s about perfecting a proven concept. The essence remains instantly familiar, but every detail has been carefully revisited, refreshed, and enhanced. The result is an RBA that carries the legacy forward while offering meaningful improvements in both aesthetics and performance. Evolution, not revolution, is precisely what makes the DotShell2 a worthy successor.

So, what’s new in DotShell2?

Subtle Deck and Chamber Refinements

The vaporization chamber remains true to the original, since performance was never in question. Still, small tweaks have been introduced:
• Deeper wick channels for improved cotton placement.
• Adjusted size and positioning of liquid intake holes for more reliable wicking.

These refinements don’t reinvent the DotShell experience—they simply make it smoother.

Airflow Redefined

Airflow adjustment has always been at the heart of the DotShell experience. With DotShell2 we introduce a more direct, precise, and versatile system, by changing functional priorities.

• Airflow Pins and Tubes as the Primary Regulator

Out of the box, DotShell2 comes with five airflow pins (1.0, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, and 2.0mm). The pins can be hosted inside the pre-installed, stock positive post, which acts as their nest and also allows the maximum possible air flow of a 4.8mm single hole right under the coil. They are meant to be inserted and swapped (if needed) on top of the stock positive post, right before securing the coil in place. Our parts and accessories section offers the full range from 1.0mm to 2.0mm in 0.1mm steps, that is eleven air flow pins in total, for an ideal, most reliable MTL / tight rDL experience.
Additionally, we have designed three more, alternative positive posts, which offer an air flow of 2.5mm, 3.0mm and 3.5mm respectively. The 2.5mm and 3.0mm alternative positive posts (af tubes) come out of the box, while the 3.5mm is available as an accessory. This way, we cover the vast majority of MTL, rDL and DL range, in the most definite and accurate way possible.

• Airflow Ring as a Secondary, Micro-Tuning Tool

The airflow ring now plays a complementary role. Starting from the maximum alignment (4.8mm single-hole equivalent), it can restrict airflow down to an almost closed, super tight draw, and it does so smoothly from either side. Loose rDL and DL users will enjoy its effect, combined with their favorite positive post version. But also for those who prefer a tighter draw, the af ring plays its role: Used together with the pins, the ring doesn’t simply reduce the airflow—it adds perceived resistance by forcing the air through narrower paths twice (together with the air flow pins) giving the impression of an even tighter draw without actually changing the pin’s flow.

This dual system combines definitive control (pins) with fine-tuned feel (ring), opening up new ways to personalize draw style.

510 Without the Base

No more extra 510 base required. The DotShell2 integrates 510 threading directly under its deck. Unscrew the nut, attach to your mod for building or dry-burning, then screw the nut back on and you’re ready to place it inside your DotAIO. Simple, fast, seamless.

Aesthetic and Functional Base

The lower AFC section has been redesigned with an AFC ring and a Base that hosts it, both in anodized aluminum, available in black (standard) or grey (optional set). The Base attaches magnetically under the deck with a precise, satisfying clipping-in-place function.
Form truly follows function here. The new base closes the small aesthetic “gap” of v1 but also can be reversed for users who want a full 4.8mm direct airflow without the AFC ring, offering a cleaner, stealthier look at the device’s face.

Availability and Closing the Circle

The DotShell2 will be available by mid November 2025 in South-Eastern Asia, with the priority pre-release there being a small token of gratitude for our devoted local fans. The worldwide release is scheduled for mid December 2025. The device is planned to come out in small, limited batches throughout this season, up until summer 2026. This limited release will mark the closing chapter of the DotShell family—an iconic series that shaped rebuildable AIO vaping.

The DotShell2 is both a tribute to its predecessor and the final word in this lineage. Not just a facelift, but much more than that. The DotShell2 is the DotShell — evolved. The legacy continues, the performance evolves, and the icon reaches its perfected form.
