After a long journey and many efforts to indulge in the world of finishing processes, we proudly present the colored siblings of the DotShell family. Having the same design with the classic DotShell and the familiar function that will boost your dotaio to another level, yet even spicier and with more tempting looks.
The Colors
Starting with 3 electroplated finishes, DotShell becomes Midnight Black, Iron Grey and Gold.
Midnight Black is a chromatic black, mixed from dark blue – black, purple and other dark color shades.
Iron Grey is grey with a tint of green, like freshly cut iron.
Both Midnight Black and Iron Grey are made from mixing chrome and titanium.
Gold has a typical true gold appearance, as it is yellow with a tint of red. No wonder why, as it is created by mixing titanium, chrome and 18k gold.
The Plating
Regarding Midnight Black and Iron Grey, plated are the chimney, the negative post (deck), the positive post and the afc ring. Additionally in the case of the Gold DotShell, we have plated the stock and spare positive tube, as well as the afc base. The reason for this difference is that gold is conductive while the other two plated layers are not. Parts that are crucial for current to pass through have been masked, then electroplated, to achieve the Midnight Black and Iron Grey finishes. Conductive Gold has allowed us to be more generous, plating extra parts for a more uniform and impressive look.
The Plan
Starting with the aforementioned three electroplated finishes, we are also working on some more color choices. We hope we will be ready to expand the range of coloured DotShells during the first months of the new year.
The Release
The colored DotShells will be first introduced to public with limited pre-release drops via our facebook group over the next couple of days.
Following the pre-release, they will be making their official debut on Tuesday 22nd December 2020, on atmizoo.com/shop and our resellers network worldwide.
There will be no fixed time release, instead we will be working in the lab and keep preparing devices. Please keep an eye on our site as stock will be replenished regularly.
