Here’s Atmizone’s fresh take on how 510d-type tanks should function and look:

Meet the Bayou.

Featuring a unique screw-on cap design and an innovative, easy side-refill system, the Bayou is a robust, minimal tank for 510d cartomizers and 510d-type rebuildable atomizers.

The Bayou has been designed in a function-oriented manner to solve the most common issues associated with conventional tanks:

Screw-on cap design: The Bayou will never just pop open no matter how you handle it.

Closed-end, food-grade PMMA acrylic glass container: Keeps e-liquid fully sealed and isolated from both caps.

Close-to-bottom inner tank o-ring placement: For maximum capacity and compatibility with pre-punched cartomizers and 510d-type RBAs with supply holes close to their base.

Fast and easy re-fill: Topping up is done from the side of the tank using a 1.0-1.3mm needle-equipped container (supplied with the Bayou): Unscrew the cap, insert the needle sideways, refill, screw the cap back on, done!

High capacity for its size: Bayou S (35mm) – 2.5ml, Bayou L (45mm) – 4.0ml.

High compatibility: The Bayou comes with an extension ring for a flush connection when used with the Roller / Dingo and a Classic 510 connector. The extension ring increases the length of the tank by 1.0mm and can be also used with odd-sized cartomizers, or with any 510d-type atomizer, if you like its looks. The Bayou is also compatible with bottom-lock-equipped cartomizers.

Bottom cap with air-flow channels: The Bayou will not choke your vape even when sitting flush on your mod. It also provides basic air-flow control when used with the Roller or Dingo and a Classic 510 Connector.

With its 19.5mm external diameter, the first, compact version of the Bayou is a perfect match for the Guppy, our brand-new, 16340 uni-tube mini-mech. If you are a fan of small-diameter, lightweight gear, you might have just found the tank you’ve been looking for.

A 22.0mm version will follow shortly.

I use a Roller and Bayou + Diver V2, I’m really very satisfied.
When filling often flows (clumsy hands).
I think that would help the two holes next to each other, and the second one I fill the air escapes.

      Hey Jan,

If you refill the tank in the suggested method, you won’t have any issues at all (always place the needle at an angle).

The reason that there is no second hole is that some atomizers are much easier to refill upside down to prevent flooding, and in that case a second hole would cause a mess.

When refilling an atomizer upside-down, you’ll normally use an air-tight nozzle, forcing the air to escape through the atomizer chamber.

when i received my LAB and Bayou, i was surprised to read “easy refill” before i saw , learning this blog, the small hole in the top of it !!!
now, i can say that its my best easier to use tank, the place of the hole is very clever !
i’m now very proud of those LAB + BAYOU ,very nice and easy to use.
For the lab, i just put a 18500 inside and GO !!!

Just noting that I’m a happy customer (several rollers, a lab & a guppy), and I’m loving my bayou (using regular carto’s, since my killer 705 wasn’t too happy in there) – just ordered 2 of the 22mm bayous to match the lab and a roller =)
Very, very eager to see what comes of the wave testing. Somewhat sad, though, anticipating that the design won’t allow earth-matte brass (since I’m guessing it would involve juice contact) – feel free to correct me! I’d get a second lab to match it, if it came in EM-brass =)

Hi there, If this is for another section I apologise.
I have a Guppy/Bayou Combo along with a Diver v2. Very happy with the products, no complaints there, but I seem to be ‘cooking’ my liquid.. Very quickly my juice turns from its original pale orange colour to a dark almost coffee colour, with a bad taste too. I am using no res/res wire @ 1.8ohms. Wick is doubled 2mm silica built as shown by the makers of the Diver. Battery is a Red IMR AW 16340. Any pointers as to what I am doing wrong?
    Cheers,
    Stuart

Still no ETA, since testing / production of prototypes is an iterative process that may or may not yield the desired results.

      Hi Manu,

Thank you for the reply. I contacted Atmistique over this issue. Advice was to possibly try to increase the flow of liquid by placing the wicks to the side of the Diver feed slots. Also to try to lower the voltage…

When would you think that your RBA will be ready for release? The concept sounds brilliant. Quite excited to see one.

      Hey Stuart,

This usually happens if the draw is too tight (or non existent), or if you have over-supply issues (too much liquid in the chamber). Might be something else in your particular case – so I’d recommend asking the makers of the Diver to get a more informed answer.

    Good morning Manu,

I´m using the Bayou and it’s an excelent carto tank.
Please could you tell me if you are checking the idea to propose a pyrex tank, it can be a greart add value.

    Many thanks and regard

    • manu says:

      Hi Frederic,

We had this dilemma when we started designing the Bayou.

Pyrex / quartz is good for vaping tank-cracker juices, however we think it’s a niche spec.

We decided to put pyrex / quartz out of the specs list for the Bayou, in order to make a tank that would work better for the *majority* of vapers. The Bayou can’t handle some tank-cracker juices, but it has secure screw-on caps, a side-refill slot, higher capacity and a more reasonable retail cost than a high-end pyrex / quartz tank.

There is no plan to produce a pyrex / quartz tank at the moment. Keep in mind that the same material used to make the Bayou is used to manufacture containers and instruments approved for food storage and medical applications.

Amazing products – beautifully made and carefully designed to last a lifetime. Easy maintenance and spares readily available. I now have three Atmizoo mods and imagine I’ll have more before long. A pleasure to deal with this company. Shipping is immediate and fast – thanks guys!

    Hi every one, Hello Taz,

I love my set ups, and i love my Bayou!
I just wish there would be a valve for the air to come out when you fill the tank up. It could be placed on the top of the tank, underneath the SS top cap. I was also wondering if a spare (option) bottom SS cap could be created in order to lock the Cartomizer in place (place de carto first and the the screw in bottom SS cap) in order to prevent accident.

And finally, we all wish (i think :D) for a 22mm version to fit the Lab.

Great work everyone, you make the best MODs in the world!!!

    • manu says:

      Hey Caio,

A second hole would create issues with atomizers that require the tank to be held upside-down while refilling. These atomizers must be filled with a bottle tip that completely covers the liquid intake of the tank. A second hole would result in leaks.

In all other cases, refilling with the supplied needle-tipped bottle doesn’t require an air exit, since the air can escape from the same hole, like shown here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MJpnJ4r0eg0

A 22mm Bayou is definitely on the way!!! 🙂

Well after 3 weeks, I’m very happy with my Guppy/Bayou (first venture into the mad world of mods).
Great service and product from Atmizoo.
For me it’s great for out and about, and also for ADV, very flexible.
I really like the understated style, compared to the flashier options out there (which seem to be the majority imo).
I’ve only used Boge cartos so far, but find that a satisfying vape.
Planning an upgrade to Sofia very soon, and very possibly a Lab too.
Keep up the good work guys 🙂

Which configuration of Diver are you using? I’m interested in getting the Bayou and a Diver but I’m not sure which configuration Diver will work. Length, flange, no flange, etc.
