Stainless Steel Matte (SS Matte)

SS Matte is a light-brushed matte / satin finish, close to the natural appearance of CNC processed Stainless Steel.

Tripod2 functional features

The Deck

The deck of the Tripod is targeted for single coil setups with design details aiming to facilitate and improve rebuilding process as much as possible. Focusing on some of them, you can see high precision large pan head phillips post screws, conveniently placed rails to capture wire either between rail and screw head / body or around screw body (depending on wire D), cut – outs on outer deck rim for easier rebuilding, cut – outs on inner deck rim plus cotton wells to help proper cotton placement and juice distribution along cotton body, sufficient liquid intake slots on deck sides ( approx. 4.0mm x 2.0mm). The Tripod2 deck can literally host any size of single coil build, from classic small sized ones up to larger exotic coils.

The Air Flow

The big change comes with the real time configuration of the air flow. We have skipped the outdated adjustment via air flow control ring and decided that the airflow should be regulated in a more straightforward way, right under the coil, through fixed air flow tubes. But this, with the ability to swap air flow tubes any time / real time, keeping the build and the liquid inside the tank absolutely intact. You may dial in your air flow via five pin options, with air hole diameter 0.8mm/1.0mm/1.2mm/ 1.5mm/1.8mm respectively, pinned inside a D=4.0mm nest, plus through five air flow tubes with air hole diameter 2.0mm/2.5mm/3.0mm/3.5mm/4.0mm (last one also serving as pins nest), or use no tube and enjoy a perfect, airy 5.0mm Direct Lung draw.

The Chimneys

The Tripod2 will come with two Chimney options out of the box, carefully designed to serve MTL and tight rDL vaping (Restricted Chimney) on the one hand, and loose rDL with DL (Open Chimney) on the other. We have found this to be a simpler design solution, more friendly to the end user compared to the use of reducers, plus the fact that the stock tank capacity 2ml with the Open Chimney on, is increased to a useful 2.8ml when assembling the Restricted Chimney.

The Drip Tips

Two bespoke 510 drip tips come with the Tripod2 device package, a wide and a narrow version for different vaping styles. Apart from those, you can use any 510 drip tip of your liking without exceptions.

The functions

Real time access to deck and real time configuration of air flow are achieved by evolving the rotary function of the classic Tripod. We have incorporated stop points so that the user does not need to look for aligning sings, and included a quick release mechanism that allows the base of the RTA to stay screwed on top of the mod, while the rest of the RTA is released instantly to allow you swap the air flow pins / tubes in a sec. Add to these an improved Top Cap with start and stop points (no signs to align) which makes refilling a piece of cake. It can host any 510 drip tip of your liking without exceptions – that is, apart from the two, bespoke 510 drip tips that will come with the Tripod2 device package, a wide and a narrow version for different vaping styles.

An extended capacity kit (Open Chimney with extension – 3.4ml / Restricted Chimney with extension – 3.8ml [only available outside the EU]) and you will have a good idea of Tripod2’s potential for versatility.

      Hi Mario, many thanks for asking! In short, yes, the Tripod2 is absolutely compatible with mechs. On a side note, all RTAs are compatible with mechs, there is no reason (technically / in terms of electric connection or any other reason whatsoever) that they wouldn’t be 🙂

    Got my tripod today and i’m very happy with it. Great flavour and especiallly throat hit, which is most important to me as a 2 packs a day former smoker.
    Only thing i’m upset is that i didn’t figure out that the extention pack is a seperate purchase and i’ll have to pay for another international shipment :))

      I can understand the small frustration when someone realizes that the product misses a part which they would expect to receive out of the box, however there are two good reasons for this:
      1. Economy scale and marketing targets of this choice: We prefer to give options and break down features, in order to give distinct choices and reduce costs, plus to ensure that everyone gets what they actually need at a fair price.
      2. TPD regulations require that any vaping product released inside the EU has a capacity of 2ml maximum.

    I am long time fan of tripod- basically my main rta since 2019. tripod 2 is actually better because of further technical refinements of truly ingenious initial design: air flow on the fly and trough and trough “bayonet” system… however, all that draw me to it in the first place- richness of the aroma, silkness of the vapor itself, smooth and even guiter draw are still there. aware of the risk of sounding like a bot, I do believe that I will end up getting most of your range, honestly… keep up, if there is any room for improvement!

    Purchased from the USA and the shipping was incredibly fast. Aside from that, the Tripod 2 is a wonderful upgrade from the original. It’s the perfect MTL vape without any hassle. You can truly set it and forget it. Most importantly, I’m loving the refill and rebuildable deck options which are big improvements over the original! It’s a fun puzzle that’s very responsive to the twists and turns and gives a satisfying click. Definitely becoming my favorite RTA of all time. Good work Atmizoo, you’re killing it!

    I may have to pick up a second one for just in case. I love it!

    Amazing atty. It looks amazing, well made and is highly configurable. I enjoyed trying out different airflow options without the usual mess. It vapes really good, moist, full vape with a sweet and well balanced flavor profile. I find myself pulling 6-7 second drags spontaneously, which speaks for itself. I’m also surprised how well it vapes with the biggest coil I could squeeze inside, a 3x26GA, 3mm, 4 loops fused clapton. Based on that performance I expect a perfect vape with a 2x28GA wire. I’m just not sure at which hight should I position the coil? Should I push it down as much as the small cutout allows for the coiling rod to go down, leave it at neutral hight or pull up a little?

    The only issue I had was with cutting leads. It drove me nuts with my dull cheap wire cutters.

    It also arrived less then 48 hrs. after I made the order, showing the guys and girls at atmizoo appreciate the customer. 😉 For this I’m especially grateful. Eυχαριστώ.

      Regarding your inquiries:
      1. How far from the air hole (higher up or lower down) should the coil be placed, in order to balance flavour vs throat hit?

      This is quite subjective. I would start at the point where the leads normally lead you when you place your coiling rod on those. Then play a bit by lowering or raising the coil with my next setups.
      I find that leaving the coil where it is placed when at even leads position is perfect especially for larger coils. But as a said, this is totally subjective and indicative 🙂

      2. Cutting leads.

      Of course it is always helpful to invest in proper wire cutters.However, please also note that the protruding rails which have been designed around the post, not only help by capturing the wire, but also can be used as a sharp point (outer part) to wiggle your wire (after you have stabilized it with the post screws), and this way cut it flush. No need for wire cutter this way 🙂

    Purchased in November and after living with it for a while I can say that this is a beautiful RTA.

    The original Tripod was my favourite RTA until this V2 dropped. Improvements are the top cap (so much easier) and the way everything clips and slides together. It *can* be tricky at first but once you get the feel of it all it becomes straightforward. Flavour is fantastic. Wicking is a breeze. Along with the V1 and the Aer, one of the best RTAs you can buy. Total recommendation.

    I really love tripod2 , one of My favorite rta’s . i Have had little bit problems with that stock pin, resistance keep jumping in some mods , i order that elongated pin. I really hope that fix The problem, otherwise its superb rta. ❤️

    Perferct atomizer, without any problems, after 2 months of use the only problem is the condensation on the drip tip, but more or less this is expected.
    Of course it has a learning curve since you have endless possibilities for setting this up and you need to spend some time in order to find what works best for you. That’s why I ordered a second one in order to experiment with more air, I settled at the restricted chimney with 1.8mm and an mtl canthal fuzed clapton.
    I tried hard to make this tank leak but the only way to do that is to cut your wicks really really short.
    Keep up the great work atmizone, this is truly a masterpiece and I’m really proud that it comes from my home country.
    Yet, in the near future I would like to see the tank in a bigger diameter (24/25)
